In 2017 Lennar began development of their myLennar iOS/Android app, and I was responsible for developing the branding.
The concept of myLennar was something that had existed within the Lennar ecosystem for some time, but the branding was dated and needed a major update to feel relevant. The previous branding also presented significant readability obstacles that were carefully considered in the updated version – the typography in the outgoing logo made “my” easily confusable with “ny”.
Because the app was customer-focused (allowing homeowners to see the construction progress of their home, manage closing documents, and see home-maintenance reminders) the branding was purposefully changed to more closely resemble an actual signature. Adding a personal touch to the app.
